Morse Code Decoder & Translator

Choose how you have Morse, then decode or translate it in one shared workspace.
Text, image, and audio are independent entry points to the same decoder—not separate tools.

Visual explanation

How Morse translation works

Every result follows the same readable path, whether you begin with ordinary text or a Morse signal.

  1. Text

    Start with a message.

    HELLO
  2. Character mapping

Match each letter to the International Morse alphabet.

    H · E · L · L · O
  3. Dots & dashes

Build the signal one character at a time.

    .... . .-.. .-.. ---
  4. Signal output

Experience the same timing through sound, light, or vibration.

  5. Decoded result

Read, copy, save, or practice the verified result.

    HELLO

Visual explanation

Character breakdown: HELLO

Spaces separate letters. Each group keeps its own rhythm.

H....

Four short signals.

E.

One short signal.

L.-..

Short, long, short, short.

O---

Three long signals.

L appears twice in HELLO, so its .-.. pattern is repeated twice in the full message.

DECODER QUESTIONS

Morse decoding, explained

What can the Morse decoder read?

Text conversion works immediately for typed Morse or ordinary text. Image and Audio accept their respective sources, but automatic recognition of arbitrary uploads remains beta and may return no decoded result.

Can I translate text to Morse and Morse to text?

Yes. The Text Translator recognizes the input automatically and supports both text-to-Morse and Morse-to-text conversion in the same workspace.

Can Morse be decoded from images and audio?

The Image and Audio workspaces accept uploads and provide verified samples, previews, and analysis steps. Automatic decoding of arbitrary files is still beta, so an upload acknowledgement is not presented as a successful translation.

Can Morse Code be played through sound, light, or vibration?

Yes. Every decoded result can use the same International Morse timing through sound, screen flashes, or vibration on supported devices.
