Pages are maintained under the MorseCode.wiki Editorial Team byline. We publish named contributors only when their identity, role, and relevant background can be accurately described. We do not create fictional experts or imply institutional endorsement.
Source hierarchy
Published standards and primary institutional records take priority. The International Telecommunication Union is the technical source for International Morse Code. Public archives and museum collections support history. Established operating references provide practical context but do not override the standard.
Content creation
Technical reference begins with the canonical character map and timing model. Educational explanations are written for the task of the page: conversion, chart lookup, letter learning, word lookup, emergency reference, or practice. A page must add explanation and next steps rather than repeat a conversion alone.
Templates and automation
Deterministic lookup tables create Morse conversions; they do not generate new signal rules. Shared templates keep repeated layouts and mappings consistent. Image and audio recognition are labelled beta because uploaded material can be ambiguous, and the site does not present an uncertain result as a verified fact.
Review checklist
- Check character mappings, timing language, examples, and visible limitations.
- Confirm that sources support factual and historical claims.
- Verify canonical URLs, breadcrumbs, structured data, and internal links.
- Test representative interactive controls on desktop and mobile layouts.
- Record material changes and update the visible review date.
Corrections
Correction requests should identify the page, quote the statement or signal in question, and include a supporting source when available. See Contact and corrections. Confirmed errors are fixed across the shared data source and all affected pages.
Independence
We do not publish invented rankings, usage totals, testimonials, certainty scores, or review ratings. Sources verify claims; they do not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
